If you're the parent of one or more children the scene is very familiar. You've been shopping; attempting to buy something, and all of a sudden your younger child wants some attention. As you try to calm her down, your oldest decides that this would be an excellent opportunity to pretend they're a doggy and creep through the clothing racks and supply shelves. Or maybe you have decided to take a trip to a street fair or other event that means that you are going to spend a large amount of time walking around. Though you've planned for your little one's accommodations, either with a stroller or a baby carrier, you aren't prepared for the moment when you older child thinks that they have had enough and sits down in the middle of the sidewalk until you're forced to either end your day early and go home or carry them.

No matter what situation you find yourself in, if you have multiple children, getting yourself a good double stroller is an investment you aren't going to regret making. This offers your younger child the accommodations they would have had if they were in a basic stroller while at the same time giving your older child to opportunity to get in and ride comfortably when they are tired. A double stroller will allow you to do this without struggling with the joys of simultaneously pushing two strollers (a lot of us have attempted to make it work--this is an exercise that is almost sure to be a failure). In addition, if you've got two very young kids this helps to lessen a little bit of the rivalry that the older sibling might feel if they find themselves forced to continue on foot beyond their limit, when baby brother or sister is permitted to ride in a stroller.

Initially, when double strollers were released on the market, they earned a bad reputation. They were awkward, hard to steer, large, heavy and for the most part hard to travel with. Luckily, the updated, improved models have been designed with comfort and ease in mind. Double strollers now days are much less heavy and bulky than before, and you will find them in various sizes and colors. This means that if you would like a jogging stroller or an umbrella stroller over a full size, conventional version, you can have it without dealing with with which of your children will be able to ride. You can also purchase a double stroller that is made as a single stroller but has got a stoop for your older child, making it a lot easier to transport without having to give up convenience.

There are a lot of companies that make double strollers, which translates to the fact that you can get one from most major baby retail stores. This means if you live close to a Burlington Coat Factory (as ironic as it may seem, you can find almost anything in their Baby Depot), a Sears, or a J.C. Penney, you will be able to get one there. However, why should you waste your gas money and time going to a store when you can conveniently shop at home on the internet? Your stroller can be sent right to your front door. Regardless of how you shop, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a double stroller to accommodate your family's budget and needs.
