Consider the Diverse Advantages of Vertical Blinds

This is a general issue with PVC, in most products, so if you do not have a problem with this in other parts of your home, then there is no reason for additional concern for it in your vertical blinds.

Recently, the US Green Building Council proved, scientifically, that PVC is not dangerous in homes, unless, of course, if you burn them in a fire. However, if there is a fire, the danger of the fire may be greater than the dangers of the chemicals.

PVC also has issues related to possible discoloration and brittleness that can be caused by the sun and the strong ultraviolet rays from the sun. However, high quality PVC is usually resistant to this problem.

Fabric vertical blinds can save you money in other ways; by reducing the rays of the run that enter into rooms the heat index will also start to drop. During the summer months you will save on electric and air conditioning costs. Savings of up to 20 percent are not uncommon with good strong vertical blinds. Vertical blinds can also help save money during the winter months as well. By keeping the windows covered with a good, strong vertical blind, less heat will escape. This will be reflected in lower heat and fuel bills.

Many of us give little thought to vertical blinds and their advantages. To many of us they are just another thing to dust at the end of the month (by the way, another advantage of vertical blinds is that they usually do not get dusty or dirty, because dust simply falls between them.) However, vertical blinds offer money saving and health options, in addition to their money saving benefits. Vertical blinds reduce the damage that can be done to furniture by UV rays. They reduce your need for heat and air-conditioning and make our study areas headache free.
