  Are You Ready to Become an Adult?There are three important stages in our lives. Each one of these stages is ment to prepare us for what is to come next. However, in many cases this is not true. One of the most difficult parte of a person’ s life is actually to part to what he/ she has been used to and go to the next level.This makes me wonder if ever somebody is ready to be an adult? The amount of responsibility that comes with this life stage is sometimes more than many can handle and like it or not you have to become the first person to help yourself. Being an adult means that you could run home to mommy and daddy if something goes wrong, but you should not do that. The worst part yet is that there are a lot o people out there, maybe even you, who do not realize what being an adult truly means. If you believe that having great jobs, supporting yourself and getting married are the things that define adulthood, then you are not ready to become an adult. Regardless, this is going to happen anyway. You are going to wake up one day and realize that you have one of the worst jobs in the world and you will not be happy with it anymore, that school is over and you have less and less pretexts to leave the house at night every night and especially it will not be ok for you to hang around the house all day without doing nothing. You will be overwhelmed with the thought that you will have to be your own person and that others should depend on you instead of you depending on others. You will have to conquer the world, you will have to stand up for yourself, you will have to stand up for others and most of all, you will have to give life. You will have to come to terms with these ideas and embrace this new stage. On the other hand if you say that you have been acting like an adult all your life. That you have had to fight for everything you have, depend only on yourself, had people to look after either you liked it or not, have worked different jobs since you can remember then you are a little more prepared than the others. There is one thing that I forgot to mention when I talked about what you have to do as an adult. Besides all the above you also have to face the consequences without asking for help every time you hit the ground. You have to become and example, take on a lot of responsabilities and still be able to smile and laugh with your friends. You have to pick yourself up most of the times and pick others up as well even if when you are not in your better days. I guess that every person has a different opinion on adulthood. Some only dream about fancy jobs, well paid jobs, success and fame, other dream about having a family and being happy, others dream of having it all: the jobs, the children, rich life and few actually process how they are going to reach that stage. Do you just get up one morning and you are an adult? Think about this.
