If you thought Forrest Gump was the only person to go on a multi-year jpg, think again. Brit woman, Rosie Swale-Pope, has been jogging around the world for four years. Her journey started on October 2, 2003, which was her 57th birthday, from her home in Wales. Rosie's husband Clive died of prostate cancer in 2002. Doctors suspect Clive might have lived if his cancer was detected earlier.

Rosie is using this run around the world, totaling 22,000 miles, to spread awareness of the positives of early cancer screenings. During the entire run, Rosie has pulled a 260 pound tent on wheels. Most nights she sleeps in this tent after having jogged 15 miles that day.

Rosie reached eastern Russia two years into her jog. She crossed into Alaska in September, 2005. Since then, she has ran down Canada into Minnesota. According to her website (RosieAroundTheWorld.co.uk), she is currently in New Jersey. When she gets to Labrador, Canada, she will cross the Atlantic to return home. Rosie has just about 2,000 miles left on her impressive jog.

After getting home, Rosie will write a book about her experience of running around the world.
